Tortillas for Tepeyac has a long history of being Denver's favorite luncheon. When Covid-19 flipped our worlds upside down we knew that we had to get creative and think of ways to still have a successful event. After two years of virtual, the luncheon's return to "in person" will keep all the best virtual aspects. In other words - Tortillas will never be the same again... it will be BETTER!
Laughter is the best medicine and has always been part of Firefly Autism’s recipe of success with the annual ‘Laugh Yourself Blue’ gala. With local and federal agencies recommending against in-person gatherings due to COVID-19, Firefly’s leadership decided that the show will go on, but in a “virtual” format garnering massive donor support, raising over $400,000!
We Don't Waste took their virtual event to the next level by encouraging people to have an "At Home Garden Party". While still following the COVID-19 guidelines, Fill a Plate for Hunger was able to create an experience that included entertainment, food, libations and fun from the comfort of the viewers own home. Rather than following the same format, we created a Tonight Show-esque program plus musical guest Hazel Miller & band performing from a rooftop. Absolutely stunning!
Every year for two decades, local music has brought together neighbors and friends in celebration. In 2020, Sunnyside Music Festival proceeded with a special edition of "Fest in Your Nest" which included a special broadcast with CPR station Indie 102.3, pedicabs with bands cruising through the neighborhood, and tote bags of SMF swag to celebrate at home. Proving once and for all, there's more than one way for the rooster to crow!
